Desktop Explorer turns an inherited computer into the setting for a missing-person investigation. Its fictional 1990s operating system asks you to examine file explorers, chat logs and damaged applications for clues. Pre-installed games and retro-styled 3D spaces extend the puzzles beyond a single desktop window. The story uses psychological horror and addresses grief, trauma and suicide, while the developer also warns about flashing imagery. Published legacy OS requirements should be read alongside current Steam client restrictions; no claim of present-day compatibility or personal testing is made.
