How to claim
A Workspace Owner should review the official programme and submit the Slack for Nonprofits application for each workspace. Slack says it confirms approval by email and applies an approved upgrade or discount within three days. We did not create a workspace, submit an application, verify eligibility or test redemption.
Important conditions
Approval is conditional and assessed with TechSoup. Political/legislative organizations, religious organizations, educational groups, government offices, public-opinion influence organizations, healthcare/insurance groups and private foundations are among the listed exclusions; discriminatory activity and promotion of religious doctrine also disqualify. Each workspace needs its own application. No refund is offered for fees paid before approval; US sales-tax exemption paperwork may be needed. Slack can amend eligibility or deny participation. The free Pro upgrade applies only to approved workspaces with 250 or fewer members; larger workspaces and Business+ have different terms.
Checkout, code redemption and individual eligibility were not independently tested. Confirm final charges, taxes, renewal costs and seller terms; unknown costs are not assumed to be zero.
Review official offer and termsSlack organizes team conversations into channels and provides tools for sharing information and collaborating on work. Its nonprofit programme offers an approved workspace with 250 or fewer members a free upgrade to the Pro plan. This can be useful for a small US charity coordinating staff and volunteers, but charitable status alone does not guarantee acceptance. US applicants need valid IRS charitable status and must also meet Slack’s organization and activity restrictions. A Workspace Owner applies separately for each workspace, and Slack uses TechSoup in the review process. Schools and other educational groups are excluded from this nonprofit route and should consult the separate education programme. Slack says the benefit is applied within three days after approval, and fees paid before approval are not refunded. Larger nonprofit workspaces and Business+ have separate discount arrangements; this listing covers the smaller-workspace Pro upgrade only.
