AnythingLLM

What is AnythingLLM?

AnythingLLM brings document chat and agent tools into a desktop application that can run models on the user’s own hardware. A reader researching a collection of files can build a document knowledge base and ask questions without making a hosted model a prerequisite. The app also offers web search and a meeting assistant that produces transcripts, summaries and action items locally. Its model selection step can recommend a model for the available hardware, which matters when choosing between a small laptop model and a larger setup. The free desktop application requires no account, while organizations can separately choose a managed multi-user instance or self-host a deployment. Local use and hosted team use are different deployment choices, so buyers should compare their administration needs and model costs before paying for cloud hosting.

A local-first desktop assistant for document knowledge, web research and meeting notes, with separate hosted and self-hosted team deployment options.
